For many years, Kane Is Able has been an avid supporter of the mission of Friendship House. Friendship House provides quality programs and services designed to enhance the emotional, behavioral, and social well-being of children and families in the communities they serve.
Each year since our founder, Gene Kane Sr. passed in 2010, we have partnered with Friendship House to host the Gene Kane Memorial golf event. Every August, golfers participate in this terrific event to raise funds supporting the invaluable work of Friendship House.
Recently, we received a note from Jim Martin, VP/COO of Friendship House --
On behalf of Friendship House and the children, adolescents, adults and families we are so fortunate to serve, thank you to the Kane family and Kane Is Able for their support through the years by hosting the annual Gene Kane Memorial Golf Tournament. Your efforts on our behalf have been outstanding and your commitment supports our efforts in purchasing educational materials, educational toys, and play systems for children in our autism program. We routinely are updating educational materials and equipment to provide our children with the latest educational materials used to promote early learning opportunities. Without this support, it would be difficult to continuously renew these educational materials, educational toys, and play systems.
This billboard acknowledging our appreciation is located in downtown Scranton, PA.
We appreciate the gratitude, however, it’s our honor to be associated with Friendship House. We’re looking forward to yet another glorious day on August 19, 2019.
